How does one go about changing the service catalog icons in Dublin? We aren't particularly fond of the icons-of-all-different-widths. I get what they were trying to do, but I don't think they quite succeeded.
We would actually be fine just using the default icon for Record Producer for all items. Anyone know how can I do that?
Thanks
Liam

Thanks for the suggestions, but what I really want to do is make a global change, so that the icons are all the same, regardless if the item in the Service Catalog is a record producer or a requested item (or an external link)
If I was able to attach correctly, I want to change all of the icons the red arrow is pointing to to the icon that the blue arrow is pointing to. I understand I could just make a copy of the blue icon and rename it with the name of the other one, but that seems klugey. Surely there is a setting somewhere that refers to which icon should be showing for different catalog items.

Hi Liam, as far as I know there is no generic setting to define the standard icon then overwriting the current icon
You can view this icon with the following link: https://[instancename].service-now.com/images/service_catalog/generic_small.gif
The option that I provided is actually the option that SN provides themselves to change this.
You can find this here: http://wiki.servicenow.com/index.php?title=Defining_Catalog_Items#Defining_Catalog_Items
And here: Service Catalog Order Guides - ServiceNow Wiki
On both wiki articles it displays the suggestion I provided.

I have the same problem. I can view the icon using the URL suggested in Richard's previous post, but I haven't figured out how to change it.
The best I can tell, the articles listed in the previous post suggest uploading the icon through the Images module (in System UI or Content Management). I tried uploading the image I want with a name of images/service_catalog/generic_small.gif. The image uploaded successfully, but it doesn't change what's displayed in the Service Catalog.
I tried pushing a new icon file to https://[instancename].service-now.com/images/service_catalog/generic_small.gif through an FTP tool. It appeared to connect, but it wasn't able to put the file. I doubt that my credentials have enough privileges.
What am I missing here?

We were able to resolve this. The solution was to use the Images module (in the Content Management or System UI applications) to create 2 new images. The first image was named images/service_catalog/generic_small.gif, and the second was named images/nav_bult.gif. I also had to flush my web browser's cache; then I was able to see the new images.
You'll need to capture a GIF file containing the image you want displayed for each catalog item. I used my web browser to do that. I just right-clicked on the desired image (catalog_item.gif from the Calgary release for us) and selected "Save picture as..." from the context menu. The details will vary depending on which browser you're using.
