Chat Window is not popup in servicenow

Hi,

Chat window is not showing popup window, when any user ping..The issue is that the users has no way of knowing that a chat was waiting unless they are staring at the chat desktop the entire time. Since most of the users tend to do multitasking, this has become a problem resulting in longer-than-ideal wait time in chat response.

Previously, this was working but recently snow team did migrate with Madrid version..

Please suggest..

Switch on the desktop notification for the popup in ServiceNow setting. So that it'll be notified. FYI, this will be applicable only in chrome browser.

 

  • The Send me desktop notifications option is selected to true For all activity from under the Notification Preferences menu in the Connect chat.
  • From the Setting options in the top right corner on the instance home screen, under Notifications section, the Connect desktop notifications option is enabled.
  • Once both the above settings are done, you would be able to receive the alert for any new Connect chat message even when the chat is running in the background or even if the ServiceNow window is altogether minimized.

Is there a way to change this for all the present users in instance, as I think this is a personalize option only, Please Help.

Everything is set correctly but the pop up notification is still not showing.
