choice fields updating when I make changes on Section through the Form designer

Hi All,

Can you please help me on below Query

We have started working on the Washington DC version to make some changes to the incident form sections using the Form Designer. However, these changes are causing our custom translations to reset.

Please be clear on what it is you are asking. You ask if the choices are updated if you use the From designer. The answer is yes, they will (what else would be the use of having the choice fields there, including the choices).

Then you say that it is happening, but shouldn't be happening. What is your question? You are everything but clear. Whether you go through from builder, form designer or on the dictionary level: if you change choices, it will be updating the field choices. It's as simple as that.

Thanks for the response.

When configuring changes on incident form through Form Design, we encountered an issue where custom translations for labels in different languages were reset to their English values.

You just completely updated the description of your question. The current question is of no relation to what you were asking before. That's really the worst thing you can do on a forum, because people searching for similar issues will now get your question with attempts to resolve an issue that isn't even mentioned.
Best way to act if this is happening, is to close the current question and create a new one.

Next to that: you aren't providing enough information. What did you change? And what were the translations before and what are they now? If you translated a choice option from English 'dog' to German 'Hund' and you change the English choice to 'cat', there no longer is a German translation. Otherwise you are creating records for cats, and the Germans keep sending you dog food.
