Choosing Career between ServiceNoe Admin or Salesforce Admin

I want to start my career, and I’m currently exploring options between becoming a ServiceNow Admin or a Salesforce Admin. I’ve heard great things about both, but I’m more focused on choosing a path that offers long-term growth and opportunities.

Someone recently recommended I check out online training from QuantoKnack Training, especially their Salesforce Admin course. They mentioned it’s one of the best starting points for anyone serious about entering the Salesforce ecosystem.

While I’m interested, I’m still unsure which platform—ServiceNow or Salesforce—has better long-term prospects. I’m looking for honest guidance from professionals or anyone who has been in a similar position.

If you’ve taken either route or completed training through QuantoKnack, I’d love to hear your experience and advice on choosing the right career path.

Please share your views to help inform my decision-making.

Hi @vipinj

Greetings!!

I’m a ServiceNow trainer and happy to share my thoughts. I’ll give you some points to consider when making your decision — and these are not the only points you should look at.

  • First, understand this: ServiceNow and Salesforce are two different platforms, built by two different companies, for two different purposes.

  • Whichever platform you choose, you’ll need to work hard to gain expertise, as both are equally new to you and both are broad and deep in their capabilities.

  • Check the progression path / learning path for both courses.

  • My suggestion to my participants is: start with the ServiceNow Admin course and explore it for 5 days. Then, do the same with Salesforce — dedicate 5 days to it.

  • After that, see which domain sparks more interest for you and aligns better with your previous experience, education, or qualifications.

  • Visit both community sites and see how active and helpful each one is.

In short: I know it’s tough to make this decision, but you need to make a choice.

Hi @vipinj ,

Both are different and both are good in long term. You need to decide which one is your cup of tea. I will say- don't go with our words as this is your career and you need to justify yourself so try to explore both for sometime and DYOR (Do your own research) and decide. If you will learn any of these proeprly with strong fundamentals- you will find a long term career in both so good luck. Learning is a never ending journey..keep going.
