As an Admin also its showing empty.

since you create that field as custom one
are you sure you are referring to the correct field in list?
In form is it visible with value in it?
Did you check the xml of the record when form is opened?

It can be an ACL issue, also I am not able to see the assignment group on the task_sla table in OOTB. Did you create DB view? Are you referring to the rght column's
