Configuration of TimeZone

Hello All,

 

We have a requirement to create timezone for Asia so we have created in choice list but there is no field to define the time so want to understand how timezone is configured or how the system will know what the time of that country is.

Hi @Shweta Mayekar ,

 

To set Time zone for user, follow below steps

  1. Click the name in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Select My Profile from the user menu.
  3. On the profile page, set appropriate time zone.
  4. Click Update.

Hi @Shweta Mayekar ,

 

Hope you are doing well.

 

On the user table we have timezone field you can set timezone there. Before selecting time zone make sure the choice value is not deactivated.

There is a global timezone property "glide.sys.default.tz"  You can set the Asia time zone there. It will change instance timezone it will be a global change. This property is overridden by the time zone in user profile.

 

Please be careful with the global timezone property.

Suppose we have created a timezone "Asia" and assigned that timezone to user. We have not defined the time of Asia so we want to understand what is configured behind it that is helping the system to know the time of particular country.
