Configure AutoNumbering without Gaps on Custom Table

I have created a custom table (replacing a spreadsheet) that needs agents to add records to.

Referncing the image below, there are 2 fields I want to auto number.

Sort and CAT Case Number. Sort is required because of display issues in pull down list as sort is NOT alphabetical.

I want to ensure that I can:

• have 2 autonumber fields on form
• they each respectively auto increment upwards by 1 and don't leave any gaps
