Convert a variable set to local catalog item variables

Is it possible to convert the variables in a variable set to local catalog item variables?

I.e. move the variables in the variable set to be used a local variables on the catalog item instead?

You should be able to do that from within each of the variables. Just associated it with an individual catalog item rather than a variable set.

How would you do that? When you're in the variable set, there is no option for you to move them out to catalog variable. You can move from 1 variable set to another variable set
