Custom Field type "URL" not working in ServicePortal. Link is not clickable in serviceportal

Hi ,

I have created a custom field of type "URL", in native UI it is working fine, I am able to click on this link and it routes to different tab as per the URL in native UI.

But this link is not clickable in service portal. can someone help? pls check below pic [ yellow marked ]

OOTB this is expected behavior, which i agree isn't a great experience, but this post has a solution that I have used and works:
