Customizing the date picker - year selection

Hello,

I spent the whole day investigating how to change the current date picker in SNOW in order to have an option to switch years.
I found a lot of similar threads that were raised in the period 24.03.2010 — 02.12.2016. So far — there I no answer delivered.
Yet, I would like to raise one more — the current one.

My exact question is - Did somebody find a way to change the current date picker of SNOW to look like this one below?

I have marked your original reply to this thread as the "Correct Answer".
In conclusion, after considering your words and also taking under consideration the investigation I made - I may say that there is no option for a new date picker to be created by me.
Even if I manage to find a way to do so — then it will be not supported and will endanger the system.

In the same time, if I customize the existing date picker — the same negative consequences will be in place (it will be not supported and might endanger the system).

The only option which I have now is to use the existing date picker while waiting for the RnD Team to release an improved version of it, which will hopefully happen in the near future.

In the meanwhile, I will be following this thread:

So far, RnD improved the date picker, which comes with List v3 Plugin and I really hope that very soon, it (the new date picker) will be implemented across the whole system, not only in the List v3 Plugin.

We have the same exact request at the company I work for.     We use the date field on request forms for end users to put their date of birth and they have to scroll back XXX number of years which is insanely tedious.     This seems like something SN should have upgraded by now!    

To train an entire company of end users to either type the year first in a date control seems nearly impossible.

The date picker is a joke. I feel like I'm back in the days when Netscape was the dominant browser.

It should be at least possible to exclude dates before the current one, as that is a ridiculously common requirement.

It should also be possible to exclude dates dependent on schedules so that you could exclude weekends and holidays.

Basic stuff.
