Data Policy Exception: The following fields are mandatory: Resolution code, Close notes

The Data policy : 'Make close info mandatory when resolved or closed' on the Incident form is working incorrectly. As per OOB configuration for the same, it should make the Resolution information mandatory on Resolved or Closed State(which is working fine), but when I put the Incident on On Hold and provide the On Hold Reason and try to save, the error messages are displayed saying : 'Data Policy Exception: The following fields are mandatory: Resolution code, Close notes'. and 'Invalid Update'.
This is not specific to any On Hold Reason, same for all.
When I disable this policy, it works fine, let's me submit the form. But then resolution info is not mandatory on Resolves and Closed state.
Not sure why the Data Policy is causing this issue.

This is surely not OOB, check the data policy if it has some extra condition.

There has to be some other script causing this issue. That could be server side as well because you are getting this at save.

Hi @Shreyansh31 

Please check if the Data Policy is conflicting with the UI Policy. Sometimes Data Policies and UI Policies are used interchangeably.
