Default view removed after changing it via list view

We recently had an issue where a tech was getting put into the major incident view even when he was clicking on create an incident.  We discovered that he was at some point in the list of all open incidents and changed his view.  When we tried to go back to the list view Default was no longer there.  We are able to reproduce this issue with admin role as well.  We are able to go into a open incident and use that to get the default view back as it is available there.  Any idea why when you are on a list and change your view it remove default from the option?  Also is there a way to make it so that when an ITIL user is on a list they cannot change their view?

hi bricast,

double check if there are any other view that could conflict with global "Default View"?

another try is to check the web browser console log and see if there are any error when switching views...

And also check are there any macro or global ui script that might have interfered the view menu? search keyword with 'default'.

if not, i'm running out of ideas...:p

perhaps u could log a ticket to hi support? the OOTB default view does not have this behaviour...

There are two things  have default.  One where the name is default and the title is default and the other where name is empty and title is default view.  This is exactly the same as in dev.  I did not see any errors in the console when I switch to another view.

Enable the default view through

System UI -> Views for 'Default View'

Can you provide more info on what you mean.  Default View is already in System UI > Views.

I found the fix.  Under System UI > views there is a view with the Title Default view and the name is empty.  Under the List tab there was no incident table listed without a user.  I exported the xml from dev and imported it into test.  This is now working as expected.
