Delete all closed incident when user click on module

Hello Experts,
I have created a module in my application that allows users to delete all closed incidents. When a user opens this module, a pop-up should appear, asking the user if they really want to delete all closed incidents. When the user clicks "yes," all incidents should be removed from the incident table.

First of all why to delete closed incidents?
Is this a business requirement? I haven't see any customer deleting closed/resolved incidents in my past implementations.

I have a question regarding an incident, but my actual requirement pertains to events. I am looking for a solution to clean up events that are in the closed state. When I inquire about incidents, I tend to receive quick responses, but when I inquire about events, most people seem unaware. That's why I'm posing the question in the context of incidents. I hope you can provide me with a suitable solution for this requirement.
