Dev instance too slow to use

My dev instance is currently too slow to use, I thought perhaps that I had a runaway script but everything seems fine, plus it's a little hard to check given it is so slow.

I have cleared the cache, any ideas on what else may be causing it to run so slow.

Thanks, but like I said I cleared the cache.

I have had it running for about 3 months, do you think it might be beneficial to let it spin down and spin up and new instance?

In that case i think you should release your instance and get a new one after couple of hours.
