Disable edit on Time Worked field

We have a request to make the time worked field read only to disable edits to the time. I tried making it a read only field, but that removes the timer completely.

Anyone know how to keep the timer running but disable edits to the hours/minutes/seconds fields?

I'm in now. I can't seem to tell what you changed to make this read only. Could you please explain your solution?

open ui policy and short desc is "Time worked read only"

If the ui policy works I would use that over the DOM manipulation from my post.

                    I tried to use your code but its making all fields read only except icons like ref icon etc.

Uname and pwd : admin

Create any problem ticket you can able to see read only fields like assigned_to , ci etc. But icon is selectable.
