Display choice label in list field instead of choice value?

I tried searching for an answer to this question but couldn't find a forum topic on the subject, so I apologize if this already has been addressed elsewhere.

On a table I have a list-type field with five predefined choices. When viewed on a form the choices added to the list show up as values instead of labels. Is there any way to have the choice labels display instead of the choice values?

What table is it list type field referencing? sys_choice?

Not sure I follow the issue.   By default if there is a label that shows instead of the value.   The only exception is if someone enters a value that isn't a valid choice and that value will show up in a blue color.   Can you please post a screenshot maybe that will help.

Can you please right click on that field label and choose "show choice list" and paste a screenshot of that?   That behavior is normal if the value entered isn't a valid value.
