Displaying as "Undefined", when we get value from table

In a Catalog item, when we try to get a value from a table, the field on the catalog item is displaying as "Undefined".

I have also written a Client script to clear the value, but the "undefined" is not getting cleared.

Please suggest.

When I search on a reference field, it returns as undefined. If the reference table has has some value, then it displays the exact value, if not then it displays as undefined

Are you setting the value using a client script?
