Drag and drop attachment, getting error "attachment is empty"

When user is dragging and dropping a document into Attachment window in Workspace getting error message that "Attachment is empty". Attachment is not empty.

How does ServiceNow determine if an attachment is empty?

Hi @marclindsay 

was the underlying file still opened in any local tool like Excel or Word? In that case the file is locked locally and cannot be uploaded successfully.

Hi @marclindsay 

 

Prime reason is may be file is corrupted or not saved properly.  or as expert @Maik Skoddow  said, it may be open in locally as well.

 

Try to attach same file in native view instead of SOW and see if the same error?

 

Also try to do cache.do and check the properties again.
