Dynamic field value for name of template table???

I have used javascript:gs.getUserID() before on fields, but is it possible to use that for all fields? I am looking for the template applied field in the template to dynamically fill with the name of the current template. Is this possible?

There have been a lot of updates to this thread, and it is working in Geneva, but now it's not working in Fuji - when the Template Applied field is hidden with a UI policy.



Can anyone tell me what would cause a field to not be written to with a Business Rule when Visible=False on a UI policy?



If I inactivate the UI policy the field shows and the above works in Fuji without a problem! If I turn on the following UI policy, the Template Applied field does not get filled in and the attachment on the template does not get applied to the Incident form.

my apologies for my absence all this time...



There's indeed a difference between Fuji and Geneva as I just tested this out (wasn't aware of this at all). How come...that's another question, guess it could be handy to ask ServiceNow themselves as I didn't find anything on the Wiki or ServiceNow Docs sites.
