Dynamic Reference Qualifier in ATF

Hi Team,
I have a variable (say var2) that is dependent on another variable (say var1). var2 is a lookup select box and has a reference qualifier that uses var1 (example below)
javascript: 'active=true^dependent_value=' + current.variables.var1
In ATF, all records from the table are visible in the dropdown and the reference qualifier is not working. Could you please suggest a way to be able to make this work.

KB0726342 "Set Field Values" in ATF and reference qualifiers are not supported
