Hi Community,
Testing team asked the below question when they test the catalogue item. they want to see notifications in email logs if email notifications are being sent or not.
"We attempted to access the ‘email logs’ using the filter function in the ‘Console’, but we were unable to locate it. Could you please help us with a step-by-step on how to access the logs for validation?"
Could you please tell me how to access the logs for validation?
Regards,
Srinivasu

Hi @Srinivasu2 ,
You can ask them to filter using subject contains the RITM number as the notification is related to Catalog item. Something like below. Just ask them to change the RITM number keeping the star as it denotes contain. Whatever notifications related to that RITM present in the subject will be visible to them.
Thanks,
Danish

Hi @Srinivasu2
They are not able to see the email logs means they are missing the read level access for email logs.
You can provide them temporary access to see the logs & after testing you can revoke the access.

you could try to do sys_email.list in the navigation bar. but if you can't access it you may not have the role. The system logs module is locked down to the admin role, without the admin role you wont be able to access the email logs table (sys_email)
Mark ✅ Correct if this solves your issue and also mark 👍 Helpful if you find my response helped in any way

in UAT instance usually email sending is disabled, but email should come in email logs
are you sure email triggered to user who is active, not locked out and has notification preference enabled?
