ESC Catalog Page set default catalog as Service Catalog

Hello, In ESC I created a link to page 'esc_sc_catalog'. Following the link loads the page and default value for Catalogs is all, but I'd like to set is by deafult to Service Catalogs (we have multiple catalogs). Current state on load looks like this:

But I would like to set it by default like this:

Also is it possible to reduce available catalogs in the list based on user criteria or conditions? Is it possible to set this filter as readonly?

Thank you,

Dominik

Hi,

You can update the Page link(menu/link configuration) and include the catalog ID in the parameters so that user will see service catalog as default catalog.

For future reference: Quick link field "Page query parameters" set to catalog_id = <sys_id>

Sadly, I don't fully understand your answer.  I too have a use case where the default 'All' option is not ideal.  My organization has many catalogs, and we don't want the user searching all of the catalogs at once.  We want the default to show the main corporate catalog, and for the user to specially select the other catalogs if they need a unique item.  How do I do that with based on the answer provided?

Hi @Dominik Stolarz

I will with experts @Anil Lande  answer here for 1st part.

but  I am not fully agree with use case bcz a user may need another catalog instead of Service , so All catalog is a good option for default.

Also is it possible to reduce available catalogs in the list based on user criteria or conditions? Is it possible to set this filter as readonly?

Atul: Its totallly depend on user who is log-in in system. I doubt there is read only possible on catalog.
