field is read only, cant find the rule anywhere

Hello, i have a form where a user needs to be able to edit a field, but the field is read only. i have looked in ui policies etc but cant find out where this rule is put
my form lets say is view2 

but the field thats read only is coming from someplace les

u_view1.u_field

I have been to table1 aswell and here i cant find a readonly rule either.

Hi @asd22 , if it is a dot walked field it will be readonly only.

yes its dotwalked. But the user needs to edit this field, the field is for bankaccount, and a users bankaccount can change. So they need to be able to edit the dotwalked field if possible

Here if it editable means you are trying to update data of different table. Ideally it is not good practice.

I can propose below solution.

 

Create a new field and populate with bank account details.  Write BR to update new the bank account details in third table.
