field is read only, cant find the rule anywhere

Hello, i have a form where a user needs to be able to edit a field, but the field is read only. i have looked in ui policies etc but cant find out where this rule is put
my form lets say is view2
but the field thats read only is coming from someplace les
u_view1.u_field
I have been to table1 aswell and here i cant find a readonly rule either.

will this also make the change come to the original field it dot walked from?

1. Updating dot walked field is not possible as per my understanding.
2. If you update the details with BR, it will get reflect in the dot walked field as well.

Dot walked fields are usually readonly for non-admins?
how is the behavior for admins?

its dotwalked yes, but i really need user to be able to edit this field.

allowing users to edit dot walked fields is not recommended practice.
If they want to edit then let them navigate to actual record and edit it there if they satisfy the WRITE ACL.
