Field watcher not working?

I have a table/form in a scoped application and the field watcher is not working.

We are on San Diego.  According to the documentation:

The field watcher works only on form fields.  This is a form field

It cannot be used on list fields. I'm not on a list

Field watcher is not available on password-protected fields or encrypted fields. None of these are true on my fields

Field watcher is only available within the UI frame. I am in the UI Frame.

The option to watch a field does not appear in the context menu if you open a record outside of the UI frame, for example, in a new tab.  I'm not on a new tab

I've never had this problem before (that I can remember)

In case Musab's link stops working / gets archived, it says that if Next Experience (Polaris) is enabled, then the field watcher will not be available. This is still the case in Tokyo patch 6, which is a bummer.

The solution would be to go to [sys_properties], find glide.ui.polaris.experience, and set the value to false. I don't know how feasible that solution would be for you, though; the original poster said that they can't do this, since this property is active in their prod instance, where they wanted to use field watcher.

Doesn't change anything for me. glide experience on or off, it still doesn't appear...

I understand your frustration with the field watcher not working as expected. It's puzzling when it doesn't align with the documentation. Sometimes, even in well-established systems like San Diego, glitches can occur. It might be worth checking for any recent updates or configurations that could be affecting it. If the issue persists, reaching out to support or the community for assistance might be a good next step.
