Hi All,
I have created a variable set with 4 variables. One of that is Reference field(Requested for) which is pointing to User table.Reference type is simple and no filter condition.
Now I am thinking to use the variable set in other Catalog item. But I want to set the filter condition for the Reference field(Requested for).
If I set filter condition to Requested for variable then it is going to reflect in all catalog item coz it is in variable set.
Any idea how can I set filter condition without effecting?
Thanks and Regards,

So look, the variable set is a quality of life improvement that eliminates the need for creating 1000 variables exactly the same.
I would say if you *legitimately* have two cases - one in which the user variable is filtered, and another where the user variable is unfiltered, then your best bet is to simply create two variable sets. One used for the masses of cases where you don't need filtering. The other used for the masses of cases where you do.

Thanks for the quick reply. I took the example, but in real requirement variable set containing more than 100 variables. So , I feel two variables set creation with same variable is not the good option to go.

100 variables? And you put this in front of users so often that its in a var set? 😮
ok... let me set aside my horror for a moment.
Do all 100 variables have this variation in reference qualification, or is it just the Requested For? If its just Requested For, then pull that out of the variable set and make the two mentioned above. Then your permutations going forward are ..
- Unfiltered Requested For set + 99variable set
- Filtered Request For set + 99variable set

Hi Pradeep,
Create a separate Requested for variable for that particular catalog item.
