Hi Community,

Inactive Manager Detection: The workflow must automatically check whether the selected group manager is marked as inactive.

Skip Approval if Manager is Inactive: If the manager is inactive, the system must not send any approval request to that individual.

Test Scenarios Included

  • Scenario A: Active owner → approval sent normally
  • Scenario B: Inactive owner → approval skipped

Please help me

Thanks,

Sathish S

What do you already have? And what exactly is your use case? Do realize that a skipped approval step means 'approved' in ServiceNow. It doesn't really sounds like good practice to not ask approval of someone, just because that person does not have a manager of if the manager is inactive. If someone has to approve something, why does it matter that they have a manager or not?

But nevertheless: a 'if' check would already to the trick.
