Free ServiceNow account to show third-party API integrations Demos - like Zendesk sponsored account

Hi,

We are a recording platform. We also provide integrations allowing users to create tickets, with the recordings attached, on platforms like Jira and Zendesk via their REST APIs. We would like to do similar integration for ServiceNow too. We don't have a company account for ServiceNow. Just like Zendesk sponsored accounts, can we have ServiceNow account that is free, doesn't expire, and we can add a couple of our company members? We would be showing demos to our clients on the ServiceNow account to show how their users can create tickets in their servicenow.

I know we can get developer instances but:

1- they go into hibernation, hence not applicable for our use-case

2- I believe we cannot add fellow company members or users to the instance

Hi @SanaM

You get a PDI from ServiceNow for practice purpose, which is free of cost. But you may not able to install few plugins / spokes available due to limitation that it is PDI.

Hi @SanaM,

As of now we have PDI only and it get hibernated. For testing purpose you will have to actively work for this. In PDI you can create user and assign role as per the requirements. If you dont want to get hibernated your PDI then you'll have to purchase instance from ServiceNow team.

Please accept my solution if it resolves your issue and thumps 👍 up

Thanks

You have two options: go to ServiceNow to get Demo or Ven instance(s), or use a PDI.

Or find a client/partner that is willing to allow you to use one of their instances, so actually you have 3 option.

PDI is the only free one (unless you find that 3rd party allowing you to use their instance for free). PDI's will fall asleep, will be reclaimed if not used in 10 days and have limited possibilities regarding plugins, as Atul already shared. Regarding the loss of configuration when it is reclaimed because of inactivity: just make sure you have everything backed up and you can release it on a new one.

In regards to the users: you can add anyone you want on it.
