Getting "Cannot find app" when opening UX App Config in UI Builder

I'm trying to build an interface in UI Builder. (We don't have the guided app creator.) All my tables and so on are set up, but when I open my UX App Configuration ("RFDevices") and click on Open in UI Builder I get

Cannot find app fef0b6aa87b20d50d420f29acebb35a2
Choose an app here <link>

The window title is Application Not Found. The link goes to /sys_ux_app_config_list.do, which shows a list including the UX App Configuration I just had open.

I have wached every Youtube video on UI Builder, and completed the course on the learning site, and have no idea what the problem is.

If this is in your company's development instance and a cache.do didn't fix it I would open a support ticket.

I had same issue. Use "Cache.do" to clear instance cache.

It'd solve the issue.

I'm sorry, that did not make any difference.

I was working with UI Builder on my personal instance and got past this point OK. But now I'm working on our development instance, a newer build. I did not encounter this problem on my dev instance. (I did encounter other problems, which is why I'm on our dev instance now.)

Notice the following difference in Studio between my personal and dev instances.

Personal (where it works)

Rome
Build date 01-04-2022_2221
Build tag glide-rome-06-23-2021__patch5-12-15-2021

Dev (where the probem occurs)

Build tag glide-rome-06-23-2021__patch7-02-09-2022

"UX Application" (in patch 5) and "UX Page Registry" (patch 7) both say they point to sys_ux_page_registry. I have not been able to determine if this change goes deeper than this relabelling.

I don't see anything in the patch 6 or 7 release notes, or any earlier patches, that sounds as if it might be related to this problem.

I will do so next time. This time I just deleted the UX App Config and recreated it. I can do that, as I'm at the 'clean sheet of paper' phase.
