Global Search results - can you define a new order option is results

I've been asked to add a new ordering criteria on global search results of

- created (newest)

- created (oldest)

Current ordering is:

- Most relevant (default)

- Updated (newest)

- Updated (oldest)

Is that possible as I havent been able to identify any docs/posts or configuration params for this?

Hi,

I think I found a solution for you - or others at least.

First you need to go to All > AI Search > Search Experience > Search Applications, then you need to find Search application configuration (needs to have Search Engine set as AI Search) and in Related Lists you'll find Sort Options where you can add new Search Sort Options.

I am not sure though, if this will work for Created alongside with Updated. You'd have to specify different Field Mapping for created than sort_by_date in your Indexed Source - haven't tested this theory, but by logic it could work.

Hope this'll save someone hours of research.
