Guest User Access Issue on ServiceNow Portal You are either not authorized or record is not valid

Hi ,

I am working with the ServiceNow Service Portal and currently logged in as a guest user (unauthenticated). When I try to access a specific page or widget on the portal, I receive the following message:

"You are either not authorized or record is not valid."

I understand this is likely related to permissions or record visibility. I have already verified that:

  • The widget/page is published and visible on the portal.

  • The portal page is linked correctly in the navigation.

  • The record exists and works correctly when logged in as an admin.

Could someone please guide me on:

  1. What ACLs or settings I need to check to allow guest users to view this page?

  2. How to properly configure public access to a custom widget or record for unauthenticated users?

Any examples or documentation links would be appreciated!
