Hi,
We have several scheduled reports and a few scheduled script executions.
Currently, the "Run As" field is set to the requester's name or, if not specified, to our name (admin's name).
I understand this is not the best practice and plan to align with ServiceNow best practices.
I have read some older articles suggesting that leaving the "Run As" field empty will default to the admin account. However, we do not have an out-of-the-box (OOB) system administrator account in our system, so I am unsure how it will automatically select the admin account. anyone please explain ?
We do not have a specific service account dedicated to this, Is it advisable to leave the "Run As" field blank, or should we create a service account for this feature?
We are in the process of building this, and we will move to performance analytics also so your guidance will help us make the right decision.
Thank you.

Hi @VasukiS
No, it is not recommended to leave "Run" as blank. The best approach is to create a service account, which will be more effective and useful in the long run.
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.
