I am currently dealing with 2000 duplicate Configuration Items (CIs) identified by their names, and I would like to merge them efficiently. I have explored the CMDB de-duplication tasks, but the process involves manually opening each de-duplication task, moving the relationships from the duplicate CI to the primary CI, and then retiring the duplicate.
This repetitive process of handling each CI individually is highly time-consuming.
Does anyone have a solution to automate or streamline this process? I’m looking for a way to merge all duplicates in one go and retire them efficiently.
Your guidance and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
