We’re exploring an integration between "ServiceNow CMDB and Microsoft Copilot" and would be interested in hearing from anyone who has implemented something similar.
We’d like to understand what the technical configuration and architecture looked like in your implementation, particularly:
- How did you expose ServiceNow CMDB data to Microsoft Copilot?
- Did you use ServiceNow APIs, Microsoft connectors, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, or another integration approach?
- What configuration or customisation was required within ServiceNow?
- Did you use the standard ServiceNow CMDB tables and relationships, or create any custom tables/views/APIs?
- How did you ensure Copilot understood the CMDB relationships and returned accurate, context-aware answers?
- How did you handle ServiceNow ACLs, authentication, authorisation, and data security?
- Were there any challenges around Copilot grounding, ServiceNow API limitations, relationship traversal, or response accuracy?
- What prerequisites or configuration would you recommend having in place before starting?
