How can I get sys ID from reference field? I am using client script. Please see description below.

I have a field name is  Xyz and a reference from another job family table, I don't know to get sys Id for Xyz. Could you please help me with this?

Reference field will always return sys_id. Can you confirm what exactly is your need & detail out the complete scenario for better assistance.

Using client scripts

I have reference examples below....., if I get any solution with this that would be appreciated.

 If I capture the family name from  Family fields and Level from  Level fields, both field record needs to auto-populate in the Role number field and Prefix from  Family and the Family Level both field record need to auto-populate in the Family code field.

Family ( Has multiple fields)

Role(Number)123...( Need to auto-populate Indian Family Name and Family Level 

FamilyCode ( Need to auto-populate Prefix and Level

FamilyLevel (Has multiple fields)

Level

Prefix

I waned to fetch the Sys_id of the reference field from the m2m table in an Action Attribute, please check below

Please advice on what could be done here, as basically the parent(reference) field name is 'Entity'
