How can I restrict the view of catalog items to users

Hi Aswin,



You can use User Criteria for this. Please find the below link where i have answered the same.


There requirement was for group but you can change it to user based.


Catalog item Avaialable for field



Create a user criteria under service catalog.


- Give some name


- Give user nameyou want to be shown for and save this



Visit the catalog item. you should see a related list for Available for. Click edit and add the newly created user criteria and submit.


This will allow only users from that group to see the catalog item.
