How can we check if an incident was assigned to a particular group in past though it is assigned to some other group now?

Please tell the possible ways to find if incident was assigned to any group in past though it is assigned to any other group now.

Thank you. The answer was little helpful. I am looking for a way in which a user can use assignment group names to fetch these details.

I'd suggest taking a look at Metric Definition Support - ServiceNow Wiki   for this.   They won't historically calculate but you get the metrics timeline view from tasks which are very handy, and the ability to report on the metric instances table
