How do I show Related Change on RITM and Related RITM on Change

Hi There,

I have only been in my role just over month so please forgive me on the administration end of things.

We are currently using Incident, RITM and Problem to launch changes. There has been a "Create Change" button places on these forms. The issue we are now experiencing is that these requests are not appear on the form as related. For example: If you look on the RITM, you will not see the change number listed. If you look on the change, you will not see the RITM listed.

I think I have narrowed this down to a UI action. I would like for it to appear in the "Related Links" area but I don't know how to accomplish this. I would assume that I will have to put one UI action in for the RITM and one for the Change table but I am not completly sure. I also don't know what script to use to do this.   Could anyone lend me a hand?

Thanks,

Chelsa

Hi Chelsa Carter

Go to the Requested item table and then personalise->Related list and then add change request->parent in the right slushbucket field.

Now go to the table change request and then follow the same process to add Requested item->parent related list. Please find the screenshot attached for reference.

Hi Pradeep,

Thank you so much for the quick response!

I did what you specified and it did show at the bottom, I enabled this for RITM, Problem and Incident (which is awesome).

However unfortunately when I actually create an RITM, Problem and Incident, after it is submitted I create a change. It does not show the linked incidents. It just shows as blank. Any ideas? Do I have to enable a relationship?

Hello,

If you need a relationship between Change and RITM/Incident/Problem you can create a many to many relationships between Change and Task. Please find the wiki link below:

Hi Chelsa,

In that case you have to create the relationship. The below article will be helpful.
