How do you hide the mimimap in the new editor post Vancouer update?

It's taking up real estate and doesn't really help given it's too tiny to look at. So was wondering if there is way to keep the new editor but without the minimap

Did you ever find out on this, I'd like to do that same. Seems links I've found don't help as they don't describe how to affect that behavior.
