how to attach the excel sheet by default in catalog item variable

i have one requirement i need to create a one variable that variable contain by default one attachement,kindly suggest how to do this requirement

could you please suggest me how to do this,

once upload the file in above link i want to remove the red star on label(type :macro with label)

i tried the on-submit script its fine good. but i want whenever attachment is uploaded that red star will be removed
