Hi All,

I want to know that how can we backout an update set from any instance.

The last one which is committed will be the first one to backout but i didn't see any option of doing the same on the form.

If anyone had done this earlier, could you please share your ideas about the same.

Thanks,

Gaurav

Hi Anurag,

Yeah that sounds good.

But last time what we we did is, we removed all sections in an update set, because our dev and QA got out of synch because of this issue. And then we captured sections from starting in an update set, after moving code , i am able to see 3-4 Change request sections now. But if i look on dev that looks perfect.

So, i am very confused that how shall i recapture all in correct sequence now. Any steps/procedure or best practise or idea, if you have then please share.

Thanks,

Gaurav

Recapturing all the sections should do the job.

In dev its all perfect, so what you do is just change the position of any 2 fields and save that section . And repeat this for all the sections.

Now Open a new Update set, and bring the fields position that u changed in the above step to their original position and save again, do the same for all the sections.

Thanks a lot anurag i will try this .

And also just for the knowledge, 'Backout' option will only be available on dev or if we nove update set from dev to QA, then will this button be visible in QA as well or not ?

Thanks,

Gaurav

Back Out button is available on all the instances but only on the most recent update set imported in the system...just one

But if you go to demo005 from there i am able to see back-out.Do you know why this is so.

Thanks,
