How to backup data from ServiceNow ?

Hi,

We have been using ServiceNow in our project from 2012 onwards.

Now we have replaced ServiceNow with another ticketing tool.

We are planning to extract data (like Incident tickets, Change requests, Problem tickets ,etc) from 2012 till date to keep it as a backup which could be referenced later on.

Please let me know if there is a way to do this.

The best way to do this is one table at a time. Go to each table list (e.g. listed below and whatever other tables you wish to export), remove any filters to ensure you export all records, then use the list menu to export to your favorite format.

Thank you All for the response 🙂 

I have contacted SNOW hi team and got the following update.

They can perform a database dump of the instance and provide with FTP details to access the data dump file. The database dump file is in a tgz file format and will contain all the current production data in the instance. Once the file is retrieved via secure FTP, unzip the file and import the data into MySQL.

SnowMirror is a third party application to backup ServiceNow data. I have used it a couple of times and it is very good in backing up attachments, work notes, comments and all sort of data from ServiceNow.
