How to check if an instance got deleted?

juliea

I've noticed that my personal instance and other instances are working, but there is an instance that I currently work in for a group project and I've noticed that it's always offline even though I refresh it.

From what I understand, instances can be offline if ServiceNow is in maintenance mode, but if that was the case, I would think that the other instances wouldn't be working either.

Is there a way to know if an instance got deleted vs. it's just under maintenance at the moment? I find it strange how this instance is offline but my personal instance is working and so are other instances.

Hi @juliea

I have been using PDI since this morning with no issues, but yes, I saw a few posts on the community about PDI offline.

1. There is no support available for PDI.

2. If you can wait, more, let's wait

3. You may release this instance and take a new one but in this case, you will lose your previous data.

From going forward, try to take regular backup of PDI, to avoid any loss of update set in future.

Hi there,

is there a way to know if a PDI got deleted? No, there's not for us random community members.

Regarding your comment about one being offline, one being online, etc. and you would expect differently. If there is maintenance on PDIs, ServiceNow does not do that for ten thousands of PDIs at the same moment. That's just not feasible. Also maintenance can depend on the PDI itself, the release its on for example.

So normal situation.

Kind regards,
