How to configure global search in Now Mobile App(New York) to return the results for Requests, Incidents, and Changes?

Hi All,

In the Now mobile app(New York release) global search, I wanted to be able to search for requests, incidents, and changes.

What I did:

1. Under "Search Configurations" -> "NowMobile App Search Configurations" -> "Application Search Sources" related list, I created 3 search sources with sources as "Requests", "Incidents", "Change Requests"
2. Tried searching for Incident/change/request/ritm numbers in the global search of the Home page - Didn't get any results
3. Tried searching with short descriptions of Incident/change (just in case) - Didn't get any results

Queries:

• Am I doing it wrong? or is there more configuration that need to be done to get it working?
• Had anyone already tried this?

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

**Note: added screenshots to show and existing change record, and global searching not giving results when searched for that number

You would have to create a search source in ServiceNow NowMobile App - Search Configurations Application.

Did you create your search source in global or ServiceNow NowMobile App - Search Configurations Application?

yeah as mentioned in the question, I have created 3 search sources for requests, incidents, and change requests.

Hi Prateek, I have created it in the global scope earlier. After seeing your comment I deleted global scope search sources and created in ServiceNow NowMobile App - Search Configurations Application scope. Still no luck, the app is not giving any search results. Also, the Change Requests source available in OOTB is in the global scope(refer to screenshot2).

You would have to create an other search source like Change requests mobile in ServiceNow NowMobile App - Search Configurations Application.
