Hi,
While there is no method to mark an entire section read-only... I like the idea. The best method I can think of is a UI policy. You can give it no condition (so it runs every time the form is loaded) and set those variables to read-only.
The other option is to right click and configure the dictionary entries for each field as read-only.
The second option is more secure and will load faster.

So the question is - do you want the fields read-only all the time? If so, configure them via the dictionary - it's faster to load and more secure.
If they are condition (sometimes read-only and sometimes not), then a UI policy with the individual fields indicated as read-only is the best approach.
