How to hide field choices on list view?

We have a requirement to hide few choices in a field in form view and list view. We can able to hide choices in form level using client script but unable to hide choices in list view also.

This is dependent field (like Sub-category). Tried client script but it's not working on list level. Please help me on this.

Please create list edit ACL like below, that's the only good solution I can give.

This list_edit ACL blocking category field also because of dependency. We are unable to edit Category field.

No, that's not possible, check if there is another ACL which is doing that,

Do you want to not let user change the choice from list ?? or just hide some choices from that list??
