How to make a Workflow for multiple Catalog Items.

We want to make a "webshop" where u can select "mouse", "keyboard" etc. and order these Items. The Items are going to be created as Catalog Items. These Catalog items have the same requirements and dont need approval. Now i need to find out how to create a Workflow or something else which can manage all those Catalog Items. I want the Same workflow to be used for all the Items. I also need the same variables in the Catalog items. I cant quite figure out how to do it or what the best option is.
