How to map checkbox variables from a Record Producer to an Incident record?

Hi Community,

I have a Record Producer that contains multiple checkbox variables.

When the Record Producer is submitted, an Incident record is created.

I want to understand how checkbox selections from the Record Producer can be mapped to the Incident record during creation.

I’m specifically looking for:

The recommended way to pass checkbox values from a Record Producer to an Incident

Whether this should be handled via scripting or configuration

Any best practices for handling multiple checkbox variables

Thanks in advance!

@tilekarnilesh

checkbox variable means true/false value

So if target field is boolean then you can directly map it with target field and no scripting required

You will see lot of OOTB record producers with checkbox variable doing this mapping

Hello @Ankur Bawiskar

I have created a u_partner_country field on the Incident form with four country choices. However, when I try to create and map the same field in the Record Producer, it does not appear in the field mapping.

I am trying to map it using the following script:

current.item= 'sys_id_of_item';

current.u_partner_country = producer.u_partner_country;

The backend values for both fields are the same, but the field is still not mapping correctly.

@tilekarnilesh

both the variable "u_partner_country" and field "u_partner_country" should have same choice value

Then only it will work

OR Easy Way

Another easy way is your variable "u_partner_country" keep it select box and make it fetch the choice from your target table field

Something like this and no script required
