How to migrate data from one instance to another instance

When migrating from one legacy instance to another new instance via clone, how do you move the ticket updates that are left behind on the legacy instance from when you start the clone to when you are live on the new  instance? 

Is there a way to export the delta of tickets from the legacy instance into the new instance so the updates and changes to tickets are not lost?

1. Export and import XML records directly from lists.
2. Create XML import sets and transform data as needed.
3. Export and import CSV files from lists.
