How to reset my instance password

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to reset my password i logged in to developer instance in which i select Action drop down button and selected "Reset admin password" then i got 1 system generated password and below i got the steps to reset my password by logging in:

After logging in, you can change the password if you'd like.

  1. 1. Use the Application Navigator to open Self-Service > My Profile.
  2. 2. Click the Change Password Related Link.
  3. 3. Complete the Change Password form then click the Change Password button.

When i navigate into My profile i didnt found   Change Password Related Link, can anyone please help me out on this ?

Hi Abdul,



On the user table, there is a password field. You can add it on form layout (if it is not visible) and update it to change password of any user profiles.

This UI Action is enabled as part of the Password Reset Plugin, Please check if this plugin is active in your environment.


Otherwise On the user table, there is a password field bring it on form layout and update it to change password of any user profiles.

Please go to https://developer.servicenow.com/ and log in. Once you are logged in please navigate to Manage-->Instance-->Action-->Reset your password
